Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our website rentgopaphos.com and the car rental services provided by RentGo Paphos. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your rental.

1. General Information

  1. RentGo Paphos is a local car rental provider based in Paphos, Cyprus.
  2. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by our team.
  3. By using our services, you confirm that you meet the driver, licence and age requirements set out in these Terms.

2. Booking and Payment

  1. Reservations can be made through our website, email, phone or WhatsApp.
  2. We offer flexible payment options. Selected cars may be available with no deposit and no credit card requirement.
  3. Payment can usually be made by debit card or cash on arrival, unless otherwise agreed before pickup.
  4. Prices include local VAT, standard mileage allowance and basic insurance as required by Cyprus law, unless otherwise stated.
  5. Optional extras, such as child seats, GPS, additional drivers or extra cover, may be added at an additional cost.

3. Driver Requirements

  1. Drivers must be at least 23 years old. Some vehicle categories may require a minimum age of 25.
  2. A valid driving licence must be presented at pickup.
  3. Non-EU or non-UK licences may require an International Driving Permit, depending on the issuing country and rental conditions.
  4. Drivers must have held a valid licence for at least 1–3 years, depending on the vehicle category.
  5. Additional drivers must be declared before or at pickup and may be subject to an additional fee.

4. Insurance and Liability

  1. All rentals include basic third-party liability insurance in accordance with Cyprus law.
  2. Additional cover may be available to reduce the renter’s financial responsibility for damage, subject to the terms and exclusions of the policy.
  3. Insurance does not cover negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use on unpaved roads, racing, illegal use or driving by unauthorised drivers.
  4. Damage to tyres, glass, wheels, mirrors, keys, interior, roof or underbody may not be included in standard coverage unless specifically stated.
  5. The renter is responsible for any excess, damage, loss or charge not covered by the applicable insurance or rental agreement.

5. Vehicle Use

  1. Vehicles must not be driven outside the Republic of Cyprus or across the Green Line into Northern Cyprus unless explicitly authorised and insured.
  2. Vehicles must be used in compliance with Cyprus traffic laws and the rental agreement.
  3. Smoking and transporting pets are only allowed if agreed in advance.
  4. The renter is responsible for any fines, parking tickets, penalties, towing fees or administrative charges incurred during the rental period.
  5. The vehicle must not be used for racing, off-road driving, towing, commercial transport or any illegal activity.

6. Fuel and Mileage

  1. Our standard fuel policy is “same-to-same”, meaning the vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as received.
  2. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refuelling charge may apply.
  3. Vehicles must not exceed the agreed mileage terms unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement.

7. Pickup and Return

  1. Pickup and return locations may include Paphos Airport (PFO), hotels, villas, apartments and private addresses in Paphos and surrounding areas.
  2. Vehicles must be returned at the agreed date, time and location.
  3. Late returns may result in additional charges.
  4. The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear.
  5. Excessive dirt, stains, smells or damage to the interior may result in a cleaning or repair charge.

8. Cancellations and Modifications

  1. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before pickup are free of charge.
  2. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
  3. Changes to vehicle type, dates, pickup location, return location or extras are subject to availability and may affect the rental price.

9. Responsibility and Limitations

  1. RentGo Paphos is not liable for indirect losses, missed flights, missed bookings or travel disruptions caused by accidents, delays, breakdowns, weather, traffic, road closures or circumstances beyond our control.
  2. Roadside assistance is available. In case of accident, breakdown, theft or damage, the renter must contact us immediately and follow our instructions.
  3. In case of accident, the renter must also contact the police where required and obtain the necessary report or reference number.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus.
